Vs Battles: Who would win in a Fight?

Me and my friends always have insane conversations on who would win fights in different circumstances. Here is an example of one of our conversations.

Me:Who do you think would win in a fight? Darth Vader or Neo?
Guy: NEO DEFINETLY! HE CAN CHANGE THE MATRIX IN ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT WAYS AND DODGE BULLETS!
Me: Well, he can yes, but Darth Vader is not IN the Matrix, and he does not shoot bullets.
Guy: In the Matrix he can fly!
Me: Darth Vader is not in the Matrix! I never said who would win in a Matrix fight did I!
Guy: Ummmm, NO! BUT, It doesn't matter anyway because a T-Rex could whoop Darth Vaders @$$!
Me:Riiiiiiiiiight, well a T-Rex could be destroyed by the Death Star right? Actually his whole planet could!
Guy: Not if Superman attacked the Death Star!
Me: What if Darth Vader had a Kryptonite Crystal in his Light Saber!? HUH!?


This goes on for hours, anyone have any "Who would in in a fight?" discussions that you think are worth bringing up?

I go to this other forum sometimes, im not a member so I just read the threads when im bored in work and it has a lot of vs debates on it. But the place is full of idiots.

For example there was a whole thread in there with hundreds of posts where they were all agreeing (most of them anyway), that a single super star destroyer could deteat the entire borg collective! I was gonna join but the place is full of two many idiots, I wouldn't be able to make a dent!

The most recent one I read was about the Borg vs Skynet from the terminator movies! They actually think that skynet would win!

But the borg would simply adapt, the borg has to be one of the greatest enemies ever concieved because of its abilty to adapt to attacks and its great intellegence brought forth by the amount of different cultures it has assimilated.

The borg would assimilate both Vader and Sky Net.

Their argument was that the Borg can't adapt to projectile weapons as seen in First Contact so the terminators would just use them.

Also the phyical superiority of the Terminators was a factor.

But obviously this is a mute point since the borg would never have to meet the Terminators in hand to hand.

The Borg are also very strong, i have only ever seen Data man handle them. Another fact is there are many more Borg than there are terminators, 1 terminator can be firing projectile weapons into a couple of borg while another 3 are behind him. Projectile weapons also run out of ammo very quickly.

As you say the Borg would not meet the terminators in hand to hand combat, firstly the borg have the advantage where as they can fire down from space. I do not remember the terminators having any kind of teleport device so they would have no way of getting inside a borg cube/sphere.

Even if they were to fly into space in ships to find them they would not be able to get through the borg shields with there primitive weapons, even star ships have trouble doing this.

The Borg has one more trick, we have already seen that when the Borg need too they will travel back in time to change events. If the Borg feel they cannot win they could just travel back into earths past, assimilate all humans and then sky net will never come online.

But super Sonic is invincible, how would Goku defeat him. The only way would be for super Sonic to run out of rings and become normal Sonic hence the fight would then be Goku SS3 vs Sonic.

1) There is no such thing as SSj5 Goku. Only in fanboy pictures.

2) It would take Goku a few minites to call Shenron in that time Sonic could come up fast and kill goku.

3) And Invincible means something. Aka it means you just cant beat someone who is invincible.

To be fair the guy who set up the thread did create a mad scenario where the Terminators captured a soveriegn and then reproduced 100 of them.

But they still wouldn't stand a chance.

Apart from anything else I am completely certain that the Borg can adapt to projectile weapons because otherwise, why isn't the whole of starfleet issued with "anti-borg projectile weapons"?

Wow. Grim, do you know anything about Spawn? He's practically a demi-god of sorts. He and Raziel are both immortal. They're both (sorta) dead. But Raziel is no where near as powerful as Spawn, even with the reaver.

The Spawn of the original comic book series. There has been a movie, though it wasn't a very good one. Nice special effects, but not much else.

if raziel was depleted in the pysical realm he would then shift into the specral realm, spawn cannot follow here. Raziel would then just eat a soul and go back into the pysical realm, so he does not risk dying as it cannot happen.

I don't know, most people haven't seen Bruce Lee fight outside of his movies, if any of you had seen him in some of his competetions it would be easy to see who would win. Bruce Lee was one of the best martial artists in the world. I don't think Jet Li could beat Jackie Chan, if you had seen him fight in some of his old movies you would know what he can do. Especially in the old Legend of Drunken Master!

My one problem with Jet Li is all the ropes he uses in his movies (Black Mask is the best example) While Bruce Lee never used cords and his movies were pure fighting with the exeption of Fists of Fury.(worst Bruce Lee movie)

Actually, I'm more of a GBA person, but I do love my GC. So I'll represent Nintendo in general. Unfortunately, I think that makes me the underdog.

What does that have to do with the fighting? So because Li stars in modern MA films that use special effect techniques to make it seem like he can float/fly, he's somehow a worse fighter? (I don't recall any cords being used in Lethal Weapon 4, btw).
While Bruce Lee never used cords...
Did he even have the option to?

Jackie Chan is more of a stuntman with good martial arts skills. But in the end, he's more stunt oriented.

Jet Li and Bruce Lee are the big time dudes. Jet's won many Wu Shu world championships.

But Bruce Lee.. simply amazing. You just need to watch some documentaries on him. He mastered many many fighting styles and proved himself many many times in different duels.

Bruce Lee = numbah one.

But if Austin Power went back in time and killed James Bond, then there would be no Bond for Mike Myers to write a parody about, inturn destroying Austin Powers himself. So in essence, if it went down like that, we would never know it even happened because the fight never did happen and the people never existed.

My vote: Austin Powers, because he is a comedic character, and can't really get hurt, just "hurt" for laughs. James Bond can get hurt because he is an action character.

Why do you say that? I see nothing to suggest that the T800 is either stronger, faster or more resilient than Data.

I actually think it would be a pretty good match up. But one thing is for sure, it certainly wouldn't take the best weapon in Starfleet to stop a T800. Im pretty sure a type 1 hand phaser could do it, and if not then a Type 2 easily could.

One of those rifel lasers would do the trick. Also being as brainy as Data is, Data could just find T800's weak point and use that to his advantage.

No friends, just a straight hand to hand fight.

With regards to the weapons, a type 1 phaser can vaporise a human body in seconds (bones and all) while a T800 can be destroyed by being lowered into liquid metal so I think the type 1 should have no trouble at least causing enough damage to shut the T800 down.

The type 2 phaser can vaporise solid granite so there would be no question about its effectiveness against a T800 there.

They go up to at least type 12 if you include ship and planet based weapons, however the largest handheld phaser is the Type 3.

Demon would own all the Pokemon if he were to face them by himself. Seriously, there are so many Digimon that are overpowered. There's one digimon can control time. Digimon is a rip-off of Pokemon though.

Some digimon could take on most Pokemon. Th evil ones such as Devimon, Myotismon and the 4 extreme digimon from the end of season 1 could obliterate them all. Mew and Mewtwo could give a good fight though.

So i would go for Digimon for the overall winners.

Contrary to popular belief, Digimon came out first. It debuted in Japan in 1991, and was followed by Monster Rancher in 1994, and finally Pokemon in 1995. That would make Pokemon the copycat, if we were namecall.

It would vaporise him. A phasor can deliver considerably more energy than the molten metal that destroyed the T1000.

No because ODO is the same as the Liquid Terminator. I.e., the metal blade would go straight through him and come out the other side without causing any damage.

Also, depending what form he takes, ODO could be extremely strong. He can change his mass as well as his size.

In a hand2hand fight with no weapons the T1000 would ultimately be the victor over Odo. Odo is a biological lifeform, at some point he will tire and need rest. The T1000 needs no rest and can simply outlast Odo until he beats him down and terminates him.

It would be a longass fight though.

Good point. But to rest, odo just turns into a liquid so it would be pretty hard for the Terminator to hurt him even then.

I actually thought of a way ODO might be able to win anyway. We know that changelings can withstand the cold temperatures of space where as the T1000 is quickly frozen by the warmer liquid Nitrogen. We also know that changlings can change into practically anything (we have seen one turm into fog!) So mabey odo could turn himself into liquid Nitrogen and freeze the terminator.

I know its a bit out there but from what we have seen on screen it might be possible. Also, ODO can turn himself into a bird so when he starts to get too tired he could just fly away for a rest!

Actually, when Ninja Turtles came out, the UK didn't allow words like "ninja" in children's programming. They are in fact the same turtles, just a different name for the show.

Interesting enough, Ninja Gaiden on the NES way back when was released in the UK as Shadow Warrior or something like that. Phisix, can you confirm that? Am I right?

Hand to hand, Kirk would kick his ass, I think that was shown in Generations and Kirk was in his 70's there!

In a tactical situation I would go with Kirk again but in any situation requiring diplomancy or a more subtle approach I think Picard would win.

I'd say Peter Griffin, because Homer would either pass out or have a heart attack. That's not to say that the same thing might not happen to Peter, but the chances of Peter winning are much higher. Brian or Stewie would jump in on Peter's behalf, or Stewie would just kill both Homer and Peter, and take all the glory on his own behalf. Yea, that sounds about right.
